Travis Rickford is the Kansas state director for the Kansas Communities Engagement Initiative at the Center for Global Policy Solutions. Travis has over eight years of experience working in community public health. As a community public health advocate, Travis’s passion is working with communities to build their infrastructure to increase physical activity, enhance food access, and promote evidence-based policy, system, and environmental changes in different settings. This includes activities such as community assessment, coalition development, and grant management. Travis holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Missouri and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Fort Hays State University. Travis resides in Hays, Kansas with his wife Melissa, son Ashton, and daughter Olivia.
