Critical Challenges

Global challenges in the 21st century require new approaches to problem-solving in the face of shifting demographics, growing economic inequality, and a changing global economy.

A rise in preventable conditions, such as type 2 diabetes and obesity, highlight the need for access to affordable health care and effective strategies for promoting healthy lifestyle choices for all people. Structural inequities that leave too many children without access to quality education reinforce the need to strengthen universal access to knowledge and training opportunities. give rise to new priorities and the need to promote inclusion and diversity in our decision-making processes and our institutions. As our population ages, more people need viable options for a stable retirement through adequate planning and saving.

What remains unchanged however is the desire for safe, livable communities, high-quality public schools, sustainable environments, and economic opportunity for ourselves and our children.

Targeted Effective Solutions

Through targeted policy and program solutions, the Center for Global Policy Solutions works to achieve social and environmental change that is responsive to the needs of vulnerable populations.

We provide critical analysis on vital issues filtered through the lens of age, class, gender, ethnicity, and geography to reflect the experiences of often-marginalized groups and fill the gaps created by the absence of these voices and views from the public debate. We seek inclusive approaches to building healthy communities, thriving educational systems, sustained economic security, and vibrant civic participation. We work to open the channels of communication between people and their leaders by supplying them with the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to effectively advocate for a better quality of life. We also work to educate and empower change agents to advance the systemic improvements necessary to achieve lasting change.
