We humbly request your support! The Center for Global Policy Solutions is proud to participate in this year’s #GivingTuesday, a national day of giving.

The Center for Global Policy Solutions is committed to creating a vibrant, diverse and inclusive world in which everyone has the opportunity to achieve health, wealth, and educational success.

This year we have made tremendous strides. Our 2014 Color of Wealth summit on Capitol Hill engaged more than 300 participants and involved prominent Members of Congress, our Beyond Broke report releasing the latest data on racial wealth disparities was covered in the Washington Post, National Journal and on MSNBC, and we held trainings that uplifted the voices of 16 “Experts of Color” who published 34 op-eds on race and inequality in top media outlets.

Meanwhile, our work with Leadership for Healthy Communities (LHC), a national program office of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, has continued to advance policies that improve access to healthy foods and safe places to play. This year, we released two new fact sheets on health disparities and a policy toolkit focused on preventing childhood obesity in rural communities. We also hosted several events, including a standing-room-only Capitol Hill briefing and special Changing Health through Innovative Leadership Development (CHILD) trainings for policymakers representing communities of color. We also joined in the movement to make sure healthy school meals and snacks are available to all students.

Last, but not least, the tragedy in Ferguson, Mo compelled us to author a joint letter with PolicyLink asking President Obama to use his administrative powers to promote equitable policing strategies in communities across America. Signed by more than 130 prominent leaders from all sectors of U.S. society, we are proud to say that the President adopted several of our policy recommendations in an effort to improve local policing.

In short, 2014 was a great year and 2015 promises to be even better. Your donation will help us the lead fight for policy changes that will improve the lives of all people.
